In another bold move signalling unwavering confidence in the future of digital assets, Strategy has announced its latest Bitcoin purchase—an eye-watering 4,225 BTC worth approximately USD $472.5 million (AUD $708 million) at an average price of USD $111,827 per Bitcoin.

The acquisition, revealed on Monday (July 14), pushes Strategy’s total Bitcoin holdings to 601,550 BTC. This makes the company the world’s largest corporate holder of Bitcoin by a significant margin. The firm’s total Bitcoin investment is now valued at approximately USD $42.87 billion (AUD $64.2 billion) based on an average acquisition cost of USD $71,268 per coin.

Given the current market price of Bitcoin sitting at around USD $116,000, the company’s Bitcoin portfolio is worth an estimated USD $69.78 billion (AUD $104.5 billion), positioning Strategy well in profit and reflecting the massive upside of its long-term bet on digital gold.

This latest purchase was funded through a recent equity raise. According to the company, sales of its MSTR, STRK, and STRF shares generated a net revenue of approximately USD $578.1 million (AUD $865 million) last week, further fuelling its aggressive crypto strategy.

Under the leadership of Michael Saylor, Strategy has continued to make headlines for its steadfast commitment to Bitcoin as a treasury reserve asset. Saylor, a vocal advocate for Bitcoin, believes the cryptocurrency is a superior store of value compared to traditional assets like gold or cash.

“We don’t buy Bitcoin to sell it,” Saylor once said. “We buy it to hold it forever.”

This consistent accumulation signals more than just a bullish investment move—it represents a broader trend in institutional crypto adoption. While some companies remain hesitant about digital assets due to regulatory uncertainty or price volatility, Strategy is charting a different course: one of full conviction.

Their continued purchases have not only boosted investor confidence but have also drawn the attention of other institutions exploring digital assets as part of their portfolio diversification strategies.

As Bitcoin continues to see growing global acceptance, Strategy’s early and aggressive entry into the space could prove to be one of the most successful corporate treasury moves of the decade. Only time will tell, but for now, Strategy is not just riding the wave—it’s helping shape it.
